Africa. Regarding to the battery, if it is a small home kit or solar lantern, may choose NI-MH battery,
instead of lead acid battery or NI-CD battery, because of its long life, thermostability , environmental
protection and big capacity, although the cost is higher than lead acid battery or NI-CD battery.
In our opinion, the solar light (solar lantern, solar lighting kit, etc.) for the developing countries,
must meet the following 3 points.
(1) . LOW COST (the users are very poor)
(2) . STABILIZATION (in the remote areas, lack of materials and the knowledge to maintain the breakdown lights)
(3) . EASY TO USE / INSTALL / MAINTAIN (most of the users are not well educated. The simple, the better)
